Fantastic Fall

The school busses are back on the streets, high school football is underway, folks are talking about beginning to work on Christmas projects and the Artful Hands calendar is ready.

The summer at Artful Hands was filled with short people at kids camp who filled my days with American Girl crafts, Great Outdoors, Beginning Sewing and Harry Potter to name a few. Even with vacation schedules, golf leagues and grandchildren, adult classes continued with great attendance and great projects. For the past year and a half classes have been scheduled at a "regular" time. This has worked well for most students. They know when a class will be held and can schedule appointments around an event they have come to really enjoy. All of the continuing classes are open to new students. It has been very gratifying to me to see creative growth, increased skills and most important ….very caring friendships and a warm sense of camaraderie among folks sharing a common interest. That is part of the mission statement of Artful Hands, and it is happening. I would love to see the classes increase gracefully so others can enjoy the creative warmth in the studio.

I am very excited about the new class offerings of clay and drawing for adults. Kate Uhrich and Mardel Sanzotta bring so much talent, teaching ability and enthusiasm to the emerging artists. Come join us!!!

It is not to early to begin gathering gifts for very special people, and Artful Hands has interesting and unique hand crafts from local artists and antiques and collectibles. With gas prices and escalating cost, do remember to shop local and buy or make something out of the ordinary! Happy Fall.
